Have you ever thought about making a change in your life? Do you think that rural life is an opportunity for your future?
With positive answers to these questions began Saffron of the Oasis, a project promoted by Slow Philosophy that has become a new reality for us and for many people who are joining our initiative.
Slow Philosophy tells how real people made their change in different essential aspects of life such as food, education, physical activity, travel, mental and emotional health and personal relationships.
We hope you enjoy it together with the physical proof that life change is possible, our precious Oasis Saffron.
Slow Philosophy is not just a theoretical book that explains a new lifestyle, but goes a step further and offers us a different way of looking at things, allowing us to appreciate details that we had always overlooked but that have and will have a huge impact on us and on those around us. Sooner or later, we all go through a point in life when we realise that we are caught in a spiral, of our own making, from which we cannot escape. We tend to say that we are doing well, or that certain bad things that happen to us are inevitable and we have to deal with them as best we can. But is this really how we feel, or are we trying to convince ourselves that everything is going well, when in reality we want so badly to change the inertia in which we live? Once inside, it is very difficult to get out of this spiral. All the pillars of our life revolve around it, and even if we set out to change certain things, the dizzying pace at which we live today drags us back into it. There is no point in trying to change something that we have been doing for years, or even generations, without first knowing where we come from, where we are and where we want to direct our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Slow Philosophy shows us how to take advantage of the knowledge and wisdom of our ancestors and complement it with the advances available to us today, so that we can realise what we really are and what we really want. This will allow us to choose the path that will guarantee a solid and stable basis for life, both for ourselves and for future generations.
